Her weakened father became her trusted adviser while she ran the family estate. She discovers that there are many different syndicate groups operating in her estates and she is angered by prostitution and trafficking of young women. Some of these women are also exploited as thieves, beggars, and slaves by syndicates. She sets out to liberate them and then she trains them to become just like her, a female ninja assassin that is capable of protecting her family’s interests. She wants to improve the lives of women around her, that’s why she wants to drive women away from professions (prostitution, barmaids, geishas) that usually subject them to abuse by men. She recruits women who have fallen into these ways into being warriors, usually as ninjas who serve a just cause . In a way, it is like a vigilante group operating in what Sachiko thinks is just. She may not always be right and there might be some operations that she regrets.

Akinata lives in a twinkle (fairy) realm where she and her kind watch over the plants and the animals of the forest. Their job is to make sure that all of the natural events happen, and the twinkles have an explanation of the seasons. Spring is when twinkles are the busiest, since they help plants and animals reproduce. The summer is when they are responsible for stoking the sacred forest fires so that the heat will radiate all over the human realm and give the humans a nice warm weather for spending time with their families and friends. Autumn is when the twinkles prepare for the cold winter months ahead, but this is when creative tree twinkles try to outshine each other by painting their home trees with the prettiest colors, hence fall foliage. Winter is when twinkles are the least busy as is it as a time for them to have a break before the seasons turn again and they are going to to the same routine. They are also weakened by the cold, so they hide. When they hide, the ICe Giants take over and wreak havoc by causing people to be sad and melancholy since they cannot go out. The twinkle's way of life is threatened by the Ice Giants and their desire to cause a longer winter. Ice Giants fight the seasons because then they cannot feed on people's sad emotiosn which is often caused when people are melancholy and deprressed beause of bad weather. Akinata, the smart twinkle finds a way to fight the ice giants and to restore the flow of the seasons again.

Ken is an ordinary high school guy, and he lives in modern day Tokyo. One day, he noticed that the clocks are acting weird and apparently, during the exact moment on the clock when he turned 15, he received his appointment to an ancient order of guardians called the Kronos. This group of mystics are like a monastic order in that they must be taught awareness of time, its magical properties and most of all, how to bend space and time continuum. They carry around staffs which have keys to the time, and so they use this to flit around the tame space continuum to try and save the world. Boys are inducted into this order by pure chance, perhaps because a glitch in the TSC happened when they were born. The members of the order becomes neither of the past of the future, they just exist in the present but move back and forth. Time stops on his day of appointment and he is transported to a faraway land (just like Meteora in Greece) where he reluctantly goes through his training to be one of the Kronos. He is torn between going back and causing a break in the TSC by adjusting the circumstances of his birth, but doing this will deprive him of the chance to later on save his (present-day) parents who are about to have a deadly accident.
